Kumasi

Ashanti, Ghana

Kumasi is a city that demands respect. As the capital of the Ashanti Region and Ghana's second largest city, it carries centuries of history, immense cultural pride, and a commercial energy that makes it the undisputed hub of Ghana's interior. The seat of the Asantehene is here, and the Manhyia Palace gives Kumasi a regal quality no other Ghanaian city can match. Known as the Garden City for its historic greenery, Kumasi blends this natural heritage with a booming modern economy: the Kejetia Market — West Africa's largest — generates trade on a staggering scale, and a growing professional middle class drives demand for quality residential property, international schools, and modern healthcare.
